This Oil Supplement Improves Memory in Elderly People

Taking DHA omega-3 improves memory and learning in older adults with mild cognitive impairments.

DHA is the acronym for Docosahexaenoic Acid. DHA is an omega-3 oil derived from fish oil or algae. The MIDAS (Memory Improvement with Docosahexaenoic Acid Study) was a randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study with 485 subjects that evaluated the effects of DHA supplementation on improving cognitive functions in older adults with are-related cognitive decline.

The study found that DHA taken for six months improved memory and learning in healthy, older adults with mild memory problems.

Lower DHA levels are associated with cognitive decline in healthy elderly and Alzheimer’s patients. Higher DHA levels help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s Disease.

As with most supplements, you will obtain the most benefit from your DHA when it is taken over time and before a health concern is imminent. DHA supplementation is a core component of our alternative Alzheimer’s Disease program. Visit http://flourishrx.publishpath.com/alternative-alzheimers-disease-support to learn more.

Are you taking enough DHA omega-3 to improve your memory? Our HS-Omega-3 Index blood test will guide your dose.
