We have fielded many requests on the need and availability of iodine in response to the nuclear generator problems in Japan. According to U.S. government officials, at this time, we do not need to start taking iodine to prevent absorption of radiative iodine.

Some people are purchasing iodine and keeping it as part of their emergency kit. Yes, you should have an emergency kit! Tornado season is a couple of months away.

As of this morning we had a limited supply, 48 bottles, of Lugol's 5% Solution, 1 oz. Each 1 oz. bottle contains almost a 30 days supply of the CDC recommended adult dose to prevent thyroid cancer from fall out. You may call Flourish Pharmacy at 405-751-3333 to purchase up to 4 bottles of Lugol's Solution. This will sold on a first come first serve basis. Once we sell out we will take names and email addresses and let you know if and when we get more iodine in stock.

Do to the extreme demand and limited source, you must provide credit card information to purchase the iodine. You may then come to the pharmacy at a later time or later day to pick up your purchase.
